Category Requests started by Martin Kelley
Over on the left side of the category page you'll find the "supported" QuakerQuaker categories--those we've been using for awhile and which show up on the main navigation sidebar. Below that are new categories, most of which have been requested by a Quaker blogger. Because no one's been using the categories the pages are pretty empty but if and when they become used and well-populated with entries I'll bump them up to the main QQ list.
Today, by request from Susanne K, a new category for theology. Tag your posts quaker.theology and they'll show up there.

Welcome to the new QuakerQuaker started by Martin Kelley
The new QuakerQuaker is here. It's got a new cleaner look but the parts I'm most interested in are the enhanced categories and discussion features.
QuakerQuaker has long had categories but they've never been used much. This is a shame, as the categories give visitors a place to take a kind of ownership of the site. If there's a particular piece of the Quaker puzzle that you feel needs to be more widely disseminated, the category pages are for you. (Tagging instructions are here!)
The new discussion feature plugs right into this--every page on QuakerQuaker has a thread in the new Disqus discussion board. You can talk back to the category! You can also use this as an old-school discussion board. There are five categories:
General/Open Mic: commentary for pages on QuakerQuaker automatically show up here but you can also start your own thread. Talk about whatever you want as long as you're not obnoxious or mean-spirited about it. Keep chill folks.
Shoutouts and Introductions: tell us about yourself, why you've come to QuakerQuaker, what's life like in your local meeting or church or if you're a newcomer what you hope to find inside the local meetinghouse! It's more fun than Facebook!
Friends Q&A: every discussion board has to have it, so here's ours. No simple Quaker question ever has a simple Quaker answer but here's where users can try to explain the variations of Friends and the ever popular "What do Friends think about XYZ" questions.
Events and Meetups: Have a Quaker event to promote? Want to connect to other Quaker bloggers and QQ community members in your area?
Site News: Where QQ Publisher Martin blathers on about new stuff happening.

This week I put up a "guest post" from an old friend of mine on my personal blog over at QuakerRanter.org. And I realized I could have just as easily posted it to the QuakerQuaker discussion system. I'm always trying to encourage new blogging and here's an easy way for people to start a blog, to test the waters so to speak.
Here's my post about it in the new QQ-Blogger section of the Board.
